History of Stanley Morris Engineering

Before SME, John C. Morris, father of Stanley Morris, owned the surveying and engineering business.  J.C. Morris, a Civil Engineer and the  Nolan County surveyor, helped establish the design of many of Sweetwater, TX landmarks including the Mustang Bowl and Lake Sweetwater Golf Course rest and picnic areas.

Stanley Morris continued his father's surveying and engineering legacy business.  Stanley Morris, a Civil Engineer and Nolan County surveyor, helped survey telecommunications (cellular towers) and the wind farms as those industries were emerging in the area.  

 

Stanley was active in West Texas and national leadership level positions and memberships with the American Society of Civil Engineers who presented him a lifetime achievement award; he was also honored with 50 years of Service awards from the states of California and Texas. Also, Stanley served gratis as an elected Nolan County surveyor for about 30 years.

 

LeStella (Morris) Valley continues the family surveying and engineering business.
